Fashion Illustration Course
The Fashion illustration and drawing course introduces some of the key skills adopted by professional illustrators working in today’s creative industries, with an emphasis on fashion and artistic practices. The course will help students explore hand drawing styles and techniques in fashion. It aims to show partakers how to express their designs on paper by learning to draw fashion figures, deconstruct and sketch garments, and seamlessly combine figures with clothing.
Once a week (days depend on schedule).
9 weeks (9 sessions).
This course will teach the participants how to draw the fashion figures starting from the basic understanding of the 9-head proportion, body elements from head to toe, movements and postures to fashion poses and the garments that go with them. By the end of this course, participants will know the ins and outs of drawing throughout the fashion design process, and will be able to communicate design ideas more freely and effectively, in addition to completing a collection of work for their portfolios.
