Jewelry Design & Making Fundamentals

This course will shed light on the basic sketching techniques for jewellery design, how to create mood boards, and how to communicate your ideas. Moreover, the pupils will be taught a wide range of fundamental jewellery making techniques such as sawing, filling, soldering and cutting and piercing metal.

Learning Objectives
Participants will gain the skills needed to design jewellery pieces and execute metalsmithing techniques such as, piercing, filing, forming, soldering, etc. They will be able to identify different types of metals, their gauges and properties and how they are used in jewellery/metals projects.
