PRECOLLEGE PORTFOLIO PREPARATION COURSE
“CREATIVITY, DESIGN THINKING AND PRACTICAL SKILLS”
Visual Arts and Design Portfolio Prep will inspire, introduce, and motivate emerging designers to transition into university education in Visual Arts and Design. Its main focus is on how each student can prepare an outstanding and unique portfolio that is easily accepted anywhere they apply.
It begins with the fundamentals of design thinking, conceptualizing and drawing, and then gradually shifts to traditional and experimental methods of applying and making. It covers professional techniques and tricks in simple ways, through engaging in-class projects, take-home activities and reflection sessions. Throughout the program, each student is encouraged and facilitated to develop his/her own style, interests, methods, aims and artistic identity.

In addition to traditional fields such as Advertising, Marketing and Public Relations, Art Administration, Arts Education, Infrastructure, Construction Development and Media, “digital” for example is transforming all creative work and is creating new work opportunities not imagined just a few years ago. Self-employment is a common option, particularly for those with experience and for those who have built up contacts through a range of activities, including networking and taking part in shows, exhibitions and competitions.
Fouad El Sherbini
Fouad El Sherbini is a film director with national and international productions. He received his Bachelor’s degree in mass communication, with a specialization in broadcasting, from MSA University and Middlesex University London. He has since worked as a director, producer and instructor in a large number of movies, promos, reports, trailers, TV programs and commercial ads. His honorary work has won him several awards, including 5 Cam International Film Festival awards and 1 from the Forum of Movies in Egyptian Film Center. With over ten years of experience in the industry, Fouad continues to teach film-making and cinematography, alongside his career as a director and producer.
