“The key question isn’t “What fosters creativity?” But it is why in God’s name isn’t everyone creative? Where was the human potential lost? How was it crippled? I think therefore a good question might be not why do people create? But why do people not create or innovate?”

Abraham Maslow

KEMET hosts a diverse schedule of events throughout the year, from certificate programs, short courses, precollege summer courses to seminars and workshops. These programs are designed to be practical and hands-on providing a variety of essential skills to support creative, technical, critical thinking and business management skills necessary to fully engage in the chosen field of interest to continually adapt, evolve and grow professionally.  Our programs also recognize and respond to a range

of desired learning outcomes and to the lifelong learning needs of non-traditional students who seek professional development, career change, and enrichment, offering flexibility to appeal across the community. During the first two years we will offer certificate programs, short courses & workshops, “taster” events, and public lectures to both introduce and test the curriculum while raising public awareness of the benefits of Art and Design study.
